Mindfulness-based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy (MBT) builds upon the principles of cognitive therapy by exploring how our thoughts and experiences impact our feelings and actions. MBT involves a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, meditation, somatic, and other trauma-informed mindful practices to build resilience, reduce stress and anxiety, and help you work toward healing and wellness. You don’t need a medical diagnosis to benefit from this therapeutic approach.
Mindfulness-based interventions include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Meditation
- Yoga
- Body awareness
- Journaling and thought records
- Relaxation and stress reduction techniques
- Activity scheduling and behavior activation
